[Off-Topic] Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies in Brazil

Anyone following me on Twitter has already noticed I’ve been VERY interested and active with cryptocurrencies. For now I’m just an investor, with no project of my own.

Out of curiosity, I asked over there whether anyone knew of companies or people working in this area here in Brazil, and the list I got back turned out pretty interesting. Worth sharing the recommendations with everyone.

• Auctus - alt-coin ICO
• Original My - proof-of-authenticity
• Laivon - looks like they develop mobile apps and some of them are cryptocurrency trackers
• OpenDime - another hardware stick wallet - they say there are Brazilians working there too
• HugPay - a way to send remittances to/from abroad without needing a bank account, in partnership with lottery shops (good idea)
• Blocko Ventures - I didn’t quite get whether they’re a services company or investors in blockchain solutions
• Kriptacoin - just another alt-coin (see comments)
• BlinkTrade - looks like an exchange infrastructure (I think Foxbit and others might use it, though I haven’t confirmed) and was founded by Brazilians
• Stone Pagamentos - said they’re helping companies accept payments in cryptocurrencies.

I want to hear about more Brazilian companies and professionals in the bitcoin and cryptocurrency ecosystem in general. I’m especially looking for speakers who know the subject and are doing hands-on coding, to speak (in English) at the conference I’m organizing, THE CONF. If you know of anyone, send them in the comments section.

I did think about writing about blockchain or cryptocurrencies, since I’ve been studying and investing quite a bit. But everything you need to know is already accessible in countless blogs and sites, in English and in Portuguese, and there’s no point in explaining it all again.

What interests me is knowing where people’s biggest questions are on the subject, so I can try to dig into some specific aspect. Comment about that too.
