[Off-Topic] Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies in Brazil

Anyone following me on Twitter has seen that I’ve been VERY interested and active with cryptocurrencies lately. I’m still only an investor, with no project of my own.

Out of curiosity I asked on Twitter whether anyone knew of companies or people working in this area here in Brazil, and I found the list very interesting. So I want to share the recommendations I received with everyone.

• Auctus - alt-coin ICO
• Original My - proof-of-authenticity
• Laivon - looks like they develop mobile apps and some of them are cryptocurrency trackers
• OpenDime - another hardware stick wallet — they say there are Brazilians working there too
• HugPay - a way to send remittances to/from abroad without needing a bank account, in partnership with lottery shops (good idea)
• Blocko Ventures - I didn’t quite get whether they’re a services company or investors in blockchain solutions
• Kriptacoin - just another alt-coin (see comments)
• BlinkTrade - looks like an exchange infrastructure (I think Foxbit and others might use it — I haven’t confirmed) and was founded by Brazilians
• Stone Pagamentos - said they’re helping companies accept payments in cryptocurrencies.

I’m interested in hearing about more Brazilian companies/professionals involved in the bitcoin and cryptocurrency ecosystem in general. In particular, I’m looking for speakers who understand the subject and are doing hands-on coding to speak (in English) at the conference I’m organizing, THE CONF. If you know of anyone, please send them in the comments section.

I thought about writing about blockchain or cryptocurrencies (I’ve been studying a lot and investing), but everything you need to know is accessible in countless blogs and other sites, in English, in Portuguese, so I don’t see the point of explaining it all again. But I’d like to know what people have the most questions about, to see if I can explore any particular aspect. So don’t forget to comment about that too.
